UK-German Connection is a bilateral government initiative for school and youth links. It offers funding for schools and youth groups to carry out joint UK-German projects, as well as a range of bilateral programmes, trips, seminars and ambassador networks. It also provides a dedicated school linking service and offers information and advice on UK-German activities. UK- German Connection opportunities are open to the primary, secondary and FE sectors as well as youth groups, and focus on cross-curricular, thematic involvement.
UK-German Connection fungiert als zentrale Koordinierungsstelle für deutsch-britische Schul- und Jugendbegegnungen. Die bilaterale Regierungsinitiative stellt Fördermittel für deutsch-britische Schul- und Jugendpartnerschaftsprojekte zur Verfügung, führt Programme, Seminare und virtuelle Projekte für Jugendliche durch und unterhält bilaterale ‘Ambassador’-Netzwerke. Des Weiteren bietet UK-German Connection einen Schulpartnerschafts-Service sowie einen Informationsservice zu deutsch-britischen Aktivitäten an. Das Angebot von UK-German Connection steht Schulen im Primar-, Sekundar- und berufsbildenden Bereich sowie außerschulischen Jugendgruppen in beiden Ländern offen.

UK-German Cultural Exchange Ambassadors network:
The UK-German Cultural Exchange Ambassadors are a network of language assistants in the UK and Germany. The network enhances the impact of the work of English Language Assistants in schools in Germany through short-term project partnerships with German Modern Language Assistants in the UK. The programme aims to strengthen UK-German school and youth links and enhance their visibility through projects in school which help pupils gain linguistic and cultural understanding. The network is an important part of a UK-German government initiative and is run and managed by UK-German Connection.
Das deutsch-britische ‘Cultural Exchange Ambassadors’-Netzwerk besteht aus
engagierten Fremdsprachenassistent/-innen im Vereinigten Königreich und Deutschland, die durch bilaterale Kooperationsprojekte zur Förderung und zur Erhöhung des Profils von deutsch-britischen Schul- und Jugendprojekten beitragen. Das Netzwerk ist wichtiger Bestandteil einer deutsch-britischen Regierungsinitiative und wird unter der Federführung von UK-German Connection durchgeführt.
